Haxby Road Primary Academy is an inclusive and vibrant school and we are looking to appoint a caring, nurturing individual to join our team. This post is a fixed term contract until 31 March 2021.

Haxby Road Primary Academy, part of Ebor Academy Trust, has an exciting opportunity to be part of our team of Teaching Assistants, starting in September 2020. We are looking for people with a minimum Level 2 Education and Childcare or Teaching Assistant qualification. In addition, you will have a passion for working with young people and a desire to develop a career in this field.

Within the role you will work under the direction of the class teacher, SENCO or member of the School’s Management Team, The post is to work with a child in our nursery provision on a one to one basis. This post is initially for 16.5 hours a week over a Wednesday afternoon and all day Thursday/Friday but could, over time, be increased to up to 30 hours.

We are looking for people who are passionate about teaching and learning, who believe in developing the true potential or all of our children. You will have a calm and positive disposition, will have the ability to break down activities into small step teaching and will nurture, inspire, challenge and motivate pupils. Implementing clear boundaries and routines, you will use behaviour management in all areas around school.
