27.5 hours per week, 45 weeks per year (term time only) – on a permanent basis

Alderman Cogan’s CE Primary Academy has an opportunity for a Level 2 Teaching Assistant to join our team working in classrooms alongside the teacher to support learning.

ACS is a large inner-city primary school for children aged 3 to 11 years.The successful candidate will join a friendly and effective team and must be able to support the Christian ethos of the school.In our Church school, our vision is for everyone to know they are “wonderfully made by God and loved by Him just as they are”.Within our school we aim to provide secure foundations for children to develop into kind, considerate and valued members of the community.

As a Teaching Assistant, you will nurture, inspire, challenge and motivate pupils, whilst implementing clear boundaries and routines. Working with the class teacher to support the children, small groups and using behaviour management in all areas around school, you will be passionate about teaching and learning, and will believe in developing the true potential of all our children.

We are looking people with a minimum Level 2 Education and Childcare or Teaching Assistant qualification and ideally experience of supporting with Phonics.In addition, you will have a passion for working with young people and a desire to develop a career in this field.
